
Iain is a Scottish recorder player and cellist. He has been teaching in schools and privately since 2013 and regularly runs music outreach projects. Iain graduated from his Masters degree at the Royal College of Music with distinction in 2019 and was awarded the McKenna Prize for Baroque music, receiving the highest recital mark in the Historical Performance department. He has performed across Europe as well as at prestigious UK venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, St. John’s Smith Square and the Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace. He made is radio debut in 2017, performing with award-winning recorder quartet Block 4 on BBC Radio 3 In Tune and features on the soundtrack for A24’s epic medieval fantasy film The Green Knight. He has a particular passion for chamber music and is the co-founder of the baroque ensemble Liturina.
