Joe Berry studies a Masters in viola under Jon Thorne at the Royal Academy after recently graduating from the Royal College of Music in July 2025. He co-founded and performs regularly with the award-winning Seion Quartet. Recent highlights include a performance of Mendelssohn’s String Octet in Wigmore Hall and with the Seion Quartet at the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in 2024.
Whilst studying, he has also gained experience as principle of the RCM Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, and in 2024 made his professional debut with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Joe is also passionate about education and has mentored on various summer courses and one-off days as well as 1-1 lessons on viola, violin and piano.
