Annabelle is a musician, actor and composer. She studied voice at the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne), and acting at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. As a singer she performed extensively in Australia, particularly in early and contemporary classical music, including several live concerts for ABC Radio. European performances have included touring Estonia as a guest artist with Jouissance Ensemble, and Elizabethan lute song programmes for Hampton Court Palace.
As an actor musician Annabelle plays flutes, tenor saxophone, lever harp and piano, in theatre shows ranging from pantomime in the Midlands, to Oscar Wilde in Greece and France, to site-specific children’s theatre in the Seychelles. She also regularly narrates children’s concerts for The Classical Roadshow with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Mozart Players.
Annabelle’s work as a composer, music director and sound designer is mostly for theatre, with shows for London venues, UK tours, and INK and Avignon Festivals. She composed and sound designed an audio adaptation of Peter Pan starring Kenneth Branagh, Olivia Colman, and others, in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital, available at listentopeterpan.com.
